Charges refiled in sword attack

reinactment
dramatization

ST. CROIX – Charges have been refiled against a Christiansted man arrested Sunday morning on an accusation that he slashed another man with a Samurai sword.

Tony Rivera, 51, of La Grande Princesse

“This is a situation that involved an accident,” he said. “They were both drunk and there is no evidence of any intent to kill or cause serious bodily harm.”

drunken sword fighting!

he could face up to 15 years in prison on the assault charge and a $5,000 fine and up to 15 years in prison on the weapon charge if he is convicted.

according to the police report prepared by Officer Jeffrey Nesbitt, police were called to the residence in La Grande Princesse to respond to an incident where another man was assaulted with the 42-inch Japanese sword.

obviously this means samurai ninjas have infiltrated the virgin islands.

The man received a gash to his neck that was seven inches long and four inches wide, according to police

he told police that there was no argument or fight but that Rivera put the sword to his neck and said he was going to kill him and he responded by saying “do what you have to do.” He said when Rivera moved the sword he felt a burning sensation and realized he had been cut.

“say i wont kill you, say i wont!”

and for the candy question!

Who was the judge in the sword fighting incident?

I’m guessing this sort of crime only happens on St.Croix then….

no every where you go has crime. In other places worst has happened. It’s just an unfortunate and very sad situation. In NY, I read a woman threw her infant in the garbage because he needed formula n she wanted to have her nails done. Some women just don’t deserve that gift.

PROUD CRUCIAN

Well, this is an interesting yet very degrading site. Being that I am born and raised in the Virgin Islands I don’t find this site to be amusing, in fact it’s insulting and borderline slander. No these sorts of crimes don’t occur only on St. Croix, these crimes can occur any where in the world at any given time. In fact, I recently moved to the US and some of the crimes I have heard and read about up here are very brutal. So, before insulting the home of others, maybe you should research more into it. Every place has brutal crimes, some places are unfortunately more advertised than others.

If you don’t life st croix, get the fuck out….move to Iraq instead.

And I don’t appreciate you blasting and making jokes about this situation with the mother and son. It could have been your sister, mother, niece, aunt, or cousin. That child could have been your son nephew, brother, or anyone. This is ignorance and its ignorance that breed crimes like this in communities.
